On June 27th Jaquet Droz and its sister brand Glashutte Original, gathered together to reveal their 2018 Novelties to Singapore watch collectors and aficionados.
The guests were welcomed in the brand new Whisky Museum of Saint-Louis House in Ion which opened its doors to the public for the first time.
The main highlights of Jaquet Droz were the new horological masterpiece – Grande Seconde Skelet-One, a yellow gold model commemorating the 280th anniversary of the two-star Brand – Grande Seconde Tribute and an exquisite lady’s piece with the smallest movement – Lady 8 Petite.
A fine whisky tasting from the Museum Collection of Saint Louis followed the presentation. The guests enjoyed the festive and friendly atmosphere of the evening.
“Some watches tell time, some tell a story”
The brand is shining the spotlight on its Ateliers d’Art by featuring four variations of its Petite Heure Minute watch that celebrate the sign of the Rat. This animal thus marks the start of a new cycle in the Chinese calendar.
In November 2019, Jaquet Droz has specially invited guests to participate in tours where they have been able to experience microscopically painted ‘art workshops’ and have personally been able to design their own, unique watch faces under the guidance of a Swiss expert in the microscopic painting of enamel.
Jaquet Droz and Johnson Watch Company invited around 50 VIP guests to a special cocktail in New Delhi, India.
