Can a watch be imagined as being… more than a watch?
The idea may seem audacious. Yet, true to the visionary spirit of Pierre Jaquet-Droz — whose automata were perceived as “magic” by the kings and emperors of his time — the Maison has never ceased to push the boundaries of watchmaking. Even today, a Jaquet Droz creation transcends its primary function to become a true work of art.
Faithful to this visionary heritage, the La Chaux-de-Fonds atelier pursues the same ambition: breaking conventions, bringing together artistic crafts, and giving life to unique, timeless pieces conceived as genuine artistic creations. Here, there is no repetition, no collection logic — every work is singular.
Miniature painting, engraving, sculpture, Grand Feu enamelling, gem-setting and mineral marquetry: every savoir-faire converges towards a single vision, that of one unique collector.
Each piece is born from a dialogue between the collector and the artisans of the atelier.
Every creation expresses a personal story through nearly infinite possibilities.
Studio 8 extends this bespoke approach even further. This immersive private space allows collectors to follow, almost in real time, the creation of their project through 4K cameras nestled within the ateliers. A meeting between two artists: the one who creates and the one who wears — where Watchmaking Art fully becomes Art itself.
